Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct
Every member must read and sign this before submitting their request.
1. Preamble

The Archangel Initiative is a multi-sided network that connects donors, non-profit organizations, vendors, and government partners to streamline charitable operations, procurement, and disaster-relief coordination. By participating, each Member agrees that integrity, transparency, and respect for the people we serve supersede organizational ego and individual gain.

2. Integrity & Honest Representation
  • Truthful Profiles: Members must accurately represent their identity, credentials, capabilities, and affiliations. No Member shall misrepresent their qualifications, tax status, certifications, or past performance.
  • Honest Communications: All statements made in profiles, bids, proposals, appeals, and messages must be truthful and not misleading.
  • No Misuse of the Platform: Members shall not use the platform to launder funds, evade taxes, facilitate illegal activity, or misrepresent the destination or purpose of any payment.
3. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Members routinely handle sensitive personal and operational data. Strict confidentiality is required.

  • Scope of Confidences: “Confidential Information” includes Personally Identifiable Information (PII), donor records, beneficiary data, vendor pricing, bid details, and internal financial metrics shared through the platform.
  • Need-to-Know Standard: Members shall restrict access to shared data to staff and representatives who require it to perform the immediate, sanctioned activity.
  • No Scraping or Export: No Member may scrape, export, or absorb another Member’s contact, donor, or beneficiary lists into an external system for purposes beyond the platform-sanctioned activity that produced the data.
  • Legal Compliance: All handling of personal data must comply with applicable privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA where medical data is involved). Confidentiality obligations survive departure from the network indefinitely.
4. Data Is Never Sold

Contact and profile information shared on this platform is trusted to us for verification and sanctioned engagement — never for resale.

  • No Sale of Data: No Member shall sell, rent, trade, or barter another Member’s contact or profile information obtained through the platform.
  • Purpose Limitation: Data obtained through the platform may be used only for the specific, sanctioned activity it was shared for (e.g., fulfilling an awarded bid, processing a donation, delivering a service).
  • Respecting Visibility Controls: Members shall not attempt to circumvent the platform’s contact-reveal controls or deanonymize donors who have chosen to remain anonymous.
5. Fair Dealing & Non-Discrimination
  • Equal Treatment: Members shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
  • No Harassment: No Member shall harass, threaten, or defame another Member, beneficiary, or platform staff.
  • Respect for Mission Autonomy: While collaborating, Members must respect the distinct brand identities, legal charters, and operational strengths of fellow Members.
6. Conflict Resolution & Enforcement
  • Good Faith: Disputes shall first be addressed privately and in good faith between the involved parties.
  • Mediation: If private resolution fails, the matter may be brought before The Archangel Initiative, which will review evidence and act as the final arbiter.
  • Sanctions: Severe or repeated violations — including fraud, data theft, bid-rigging, predatory fundraising, or harassment — may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the network.
7. Donor Commitments

In addition to the core Code above, donors agree to the following.

  • Good-Faith Giving: Donations shall be made in good faith and not used to extract preferential treatment, access to data, or undue influence over an organization’s mission.
  • Respect for Anonymity: Donors shall not attempt to deanonymize other donors or circumvent the platform’s privacy controls.
  • No Off-Platform Solicitation: Donors shall not use information gained through the platform to solicit organizations for unrelated commercial gain.
